Progressus Research and Development was established in 1993 with its core business socio-economic research. The research aims to understand, highlight and alleviate the plight of the poor in Southern Africa. This includes a wide variety of research topics ranging from community health, HIV/AIDS, low cost housing, informal rental, evaluation studies, tenant surveys in social housing and more.

Progressus adheres to the highest standards of scientific research. We are creative in the design of the research, developing the best suitable data collection strategy for the project at hand, and combine this with thorough fieldworker training, proper multi-level in-field monitoring, strict sampling standards, verifiable data capturing, and data analysis. We follow a transparent field procedure where clients are welcomed to visit any phase of the research process, in or out of the field.
